Ayo Busari
Ayo Busari is an award-winning Creative Producer, Composer, Performer, Writer, and Community Arts Leader working across theatre, music, and live performance. A defining voice in Western Australia’s performing arts sector, he is best known as the co-frontman of genre-blending music project TAB Family.
Shaped by creative practice across Nigeria, the United Kingdom, and Australia, Ayo’s multidisciplinary work spans theatre, music, film, photography, design, and live performance. His practice centres on immersive storytelling that fuses spoken word, movement, live sound, and poetic narrative.
As the founder of Mobus Entertainment and The TOOL Event, he has played a significant role in shaping Perth’s contemporary arts and music landscape, with a strong focus on cross-cultural collaboration, representation, and community-centred work.
His work has received multiple accolades, including the 2025 FRINGE WORLD Award for Music & Musicals for TAB Family’s performances. In the same year, TAB Family won R&B/Funk/Soul Act of the Year at the WAM Awards, and Ayo was nominated for Electronic Producer of the Year for his solo work.
As a solo artist, Ayo released his debut single SUPERSTAR in 2023, marking a new sonic direction. His newly debuted EP, Joy & Balloons, explores Afro-fusion, EDM, house, and poetic musicality.
He has performed as a spoken word artist, musician, and DJ at venues in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, including Fremantle Arts Centre, Victoria Hall, Fremantle Town Hall, State Theatre Centre of WA, The Blue Room Theatre, PICA, Centre for Stories, The Rechabite, Freo Social, Rosemount Hotel, Mojos Bar and more.
