Joy Tapes is a three-volume RTR2 residency hosted by Ayo Busari, bringing together WA artists and creatives for candid conversations about their creative journeys, the people behind their practice, community, and what joy means to them. Blending conversation and music, each episode moves between the personal and creative, featuring songs selected by each guest alongside tracks from Ayo’s discography. At its heart, Joy Tapes is about discovering the stories, sounds and moments of joy that shape the people making art in WA. Ayo kicks off Joy Tapes Vol. 1 with good friend and frequent collaborator Prince Attwood, a theatremaker, performer and composer. They chat about Prince’s creative journey, life beyond the art, finding joy, and building a creative life in WA, alongside music that brings them joy and tracks from Ayo’s latest EP, Joy & Balloons.
