From its origins as an even heavier alternative to the blues-based heavy rock that rose to popularity in the late 60’s and early 70’s, to contemporary sub-genres that push the stylistic and aesthetic boundaries in even more brutal directions, metal is the true musical voice of resistance.

Critical Mass showcases metal in all its various forms, paying salute to classic figureheads from throughout the genre’s history as well as presenting the newest and freshest from styles such as death metal, black metal, thrash, grindcore, speed & extreme metal.

Plus, once a month The Quest takes you on an epic journey through the harsh and battle scar-worn terrain of power, symphonic & Viking metal.
